We had the pleasure of hosting our friend Lena (who also happens to be the sister of our dear friends living here in Lagos) this past week. Lena's sister & brother-in -law were out of town so we got to hang out with her (she practiced her English with me and Monty practiced his German with her!) It was so great to have another girl in the house, especially when Monty was away. We borrowed a soft mattress to put on the spare bedroom (to prevent her from sleeping on the rock hard thing that Nigerians call a "foam") On Sunday after church we were invited by Erica & Jason to a real American BBQ at their place. I was quite proud of the traditional potato salad, but it was nothing compared to the meat, homemade rolls, creamed corn, beans, and delicious danishes!
